MSAI challenges you to make your dreams become reality. Through MSAI you can develop your interests and abilities, and enlarge your vision of what is possible. You can explore different disciplines and open new doors to new opportunities.


The Janice Wyatt Summer Arts Institute (MSAI) was established in 1998 with the dream of becoming a regional model for excellence in arts education. MSAI is well on its way to fulfilling this dream. MSAI is designed for participants ages 12-18. The goal of MSAI is to encourage promising artists to begin or continue their pursuits in the arts. Youth from all over the state and beyond will be setting their sights on summer activities at MSAI.The Mississippi Summer Arts Institute offers opportunities in dance, theatre, music, visual and literary arts. MSAI boasts a distinguished body of faculty with national and international recognition. Our program offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain broad exposure to all of the arts.

The residential camps for ages 12-18 are as follows:

-Creative Artists Theater

-Broadway

-Core Arts            

-DMI (ages 15-18)

The Janice Wyatt Mississippi Summer Arts Institute also hosts a performance based day-camp for ages 5-11.  Campers learn a choreographed medley of songs and attend related classes throughout the day.  A performance is given at the end of each camp.
